Fabric Drawings.

This activity did not go as well as I hoped, but it also did not go bad. At the beginning of the project I was very frustrated, overwhelmed and I did not know what to start with. Towards the end I was getting the hang of it and realizing what I was doing. It felt weird to recreate it, since it was so hard to draw and I felt like my drawing did not look even close to what was in front of me. I liked this drawing better than the sticks because you could tell what you were drawing and there were many colors. Also things were not straight there was alot of flow which made it easier to define.

Principles of Design Research

The piece of art that I looked at today was called the border between Mexico and the United States by Frida Kahlo. The artists use of The Principals of design supported the story because it showed the differences between the lifestyles in Mexico and the US.

Found Object Sculpture Reflection Discussions.

I was very happy with the feedback I had gotten from my group. Since I wanted the sculpture to be perfect I was unsure of the outcome, I wanted it to look better than it does. Hearing the feedback from my group made me realize it is okay as it is. Also they gave me some ideas of how to finish it, which was very helpful because I don't know what I would have done. One project that I thought was done especially well was Joes cigarette and gun. It was very good because it looked like what he was trying to make and you couldn't tell what it was made out of unless you looked really closely.

Drawing the pile of sticks was a very difficult assignment. There were too many things going on at once and it was really confusing for me to understand what I was drawing. There were many times I felt like I was drawing the wrong thing or that my drawing looked bad. Throughout the assignment I felt very confused and I did not know what I was going to do next. Towards the end I was having more of an idea of what was going on and what I was supposed to be doing. Looking at the outcome I feel like I could have done better and I am not really happy with the way it looks. I think that if I had kept working on it I would have been able to make a more accurate representation of the pile of sticks.
